Administrative Services Specialist

As an Administrative Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in the areas of facility and personnel security, facility, space and equipment management, and property management, including fleet management. You will also serve as the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) for the security guard contract and other facility and fleet management contracts. Additional duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing the administrative and technical work pertaining to the receipt, inventory, control, tagging, excessing and disposition of all regional property. Occasionally, you will assemble equipment, property, supplies, and furniture received for the Regional Office. Serving as the Regional Security Specialist, supporting the Regional Security Advisor on matters of employee and property protection, maintaining liaison with the NRC's Division of Facilities and Security and with other Federal agencies and contractors responsible for building security. Serving as the primary contact with General Services Administration (GSA), lessor representatives, and regional management for all issues related to utilization of, or changes to, Region I's leased facility. Researching and reviewing information on available sources of furniture and equipment. Estimating budgets, timelines and costs related to the purchase, delivery, storage, set-up and removal of furniture and equipment. Developing plans to accomplish projects with minimal disruption to office staff and work flows. Incumbent may frequently lift between 50 and 75 pounds of furniture, equipment, property, supplies, etc. In order to qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. To qualify for the GG-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GG-07 level. For the GG-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GG-09 level. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:
Experience that demonstrates knowledge of Federal regulations and NRC policies and procedures pertaining to space, facility and equipment management; facility and personnel security; property management; vehicle fleet management; and/or inventory control and disposition.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
