Software Engineer Quality
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the King of Prussia, PA area.
Design and implement automated test suite to test JSON and XML web services for our enterprise commerce platform. As a key contributor to a small and focused agile web services team, provide hands-on testing and automation expertise. Participate in a continuous improvement process of identifying and removing sources of friction in the software development life cycle.
o Design and implement automated integration test suite for enterprise commerce platform web services
o Develop test automation system while applying software development methodologies and principles
o Work closely with software engineering and architecture teams to establish an automation roadmap
o Provide strategic recommendations on software development methodology
o Advocate automation best practices across the technology organization
Job Requirements
o Minimum 3 years development experience working in enterprise-scale projects with a SOA/Web Services based architecture
o Excellent hands-on programming skills
o Experience working with REST interfaces and XML-JSON transformations.
o Experience implementing test automation frameworks.
o Familiarity with at least one REST test automation framework (Selenium, Silk, Eiffel etc.)
o Strong experience with Continuous Integration methodologies (unit testing/code coverage/mocking, simulation) and building automated tests to integrate into CI process using any Rest automation test framework such as REST-assured or Jersey Test Framework
o Experience with continuous integration and build tools (i.e. jUnit, DB Unit, Maven, Bamboo, and Jira)
o Sound knowledge of software engineering principles and appreciation for non-functional system requirements
o Familiarity with SOA/Web Services design principles and implementation techniques is required
o Familiarity with RDBMS, SQL is required
o Experience with automated performance testing frameworks is a definite plus
o Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and be able to communicate interact effectively with all levels of management as well as a diverse technical team
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to significant amounts of change in work assignments and priorities.
o Flexibility to move between tasks.
o Ability to work iteratively under tight schedules
o Familiarity and comfort with Agile/Scrum methodologies required
o BS/BA in Computer Science or related field preferred.
