Software Engineer Quality
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the King of Prussia, PA area.
You will Design and implement Java based automated tests for integration and end to end testing of our enterprise commerce platform. Create tools for the automation of repetitive testing tasks. Participate in a continuous improvement process of identifying and removing sources of friction in the software development life cycle.
Primary
Responsibilities:
o Design and implement automated tests for web applications and web services
o Work under the direction of senior software engineers to implement the automation roadmap
o Support development teams through test creation and maintenance, concurrent with development activities
o Participate in daily stand-ups
o Advocate automation best practices across the technology organization
This position requires:
o Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures and algorithms
o Strong understanding of software engineering principles, tools, and processes
o Expertise in an object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java
o Familiarity with SOA/Web Services design principles and implementation techniques is required
o Knowledge in Object-Oriented Design Principles, Data Structures, Algorithms, DBMS/SQL, Operating Systems, and Software Engineering
o Working knowledge of web technologies (such as HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX) is beneficial
o Knowledge of J2EE and application servers such as Weblogic, Tomcat or Websphere is a plus
o Familiarity with at least one web test automation framework (Selenium, Silk, Eiffel etc.) is a plus
o Experience with Continuous Integration methodologies (unit testing/code coverage/mocking, simulation) and building automated tests to integrate into a CI process using Bamboo/Hudson/Jenkins
o Experience with development tools i.e. jUnit, DB Unit, Maven, Bamboo, and Jira
Education
Masters Degree or Equivalent
