Performance Engineer - 7916

We have an immediate contract opportunity for an Performance Engineer with one of our F500 clients in the King of Prussia, PA area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
o Coordinates with extended performance team members both on-shore and off-shore to ensure that testing activities are understood and scheduled to be completed in a timely manner.
o Coordinates with various teams to validate that projects provide the required process information, billing, estimating, requirements, test environment deployments and baselines, etc
o Educates project teams on performance engineering processes and requirements.
o Coordinates server and client side performance test tasks and validates they are completed for projects on time as scheduled including: planning, prep, scripting, validation, test execution, analysis, defect reporting and results reporting.
o Collaborate with diagnostics and project teams to review any negative performance results and issues, coordinate any retesting for fixes as needed.
o Maintain test schedules and process request queues so that they are properly moved through the workflow.
o Create Weekly Program Status Slides and Daily PE Status Reports.
o Reviews all performance risk assessments for failed transactions observed during the test cycle.
o Reviews all performance engineering survey responses for release and large projects to accept into PE or approve for PE exceptions.
o Responsible for performance project estimations and attending estimation and release coordination meetings as needed.
o Report and escalate any critical project issues, risks or delays to the QA Performance Manager.
Job Requirements
o Project management skills and experience preferred.
o Knowledge of standard automated load testing tools (HP, Rational, Soasta, JMeter).
o Demonstrated ability to assess system changes and identify impacts to system performance
o Experience in leading collaborations to identify solutions to complex system performance issues
o Experience in consulting on the use of performance engineering methods and practices.
Basic
Qualifications:
o Project management skills to be able to lead and track issues to resolution and projects completed on time
o Ability to be flexible and adjust quickly to priorities based on business impact on a daily, weekly basis.
o Ability to work across several teams on resolving issues and implementing solutions.
o Ability to communicate clearly, update schedules and articulate issues in a productive manner.
Education
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
