The Windows Desktop / Image Architect will be a member of the Client Computing Services department. The Engineer will play a key role in the continuous improvement of processes and technologies which support the clients Windows client environment. Candidate should be self-efficient with practical experience resolving complex windows issues (will serve as an escalation POC client technology). Build and develop strong relationships with ITS business area clients by providing superior ITS project-based support as demonstrated by clearly owning, resolving and communicating issues and problems; being responsive to needs, requirements, and deadlines; and generally promoting goodwill in a professional and trust-building manner.
o Design, develop, and maintain Windows 7 client architecture through a strong understanding of industry best practices.
o Provide advanced troubleshooting for issues that appear to be related to base client operating system or any of the applications that are included in the standard client image.
o Strong understanding and experience developing or updating VB (Visual Basic) script, Microsoft Windows PowerShell, or other dynamic scripting language used to deploy OS and software
o Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex issues that appear to be related to the client operating system and/or any of the applications that are included in the standard client image.
o Responsible for maintenance and development of Group Policies (GPO).
We will hire W2 Hourly $75 or Full Time Employee $120K base plus Benefits

o Participate in solution architecture support for client projects and initiatives which integrate with the Windows client infrastructure
o Continual process improvement in Windows client environment.
o Development of policies, standards, procedures and processes.
o Responsible for the definition, development, maintenance, support and documentation of the clients Windows client image.
o Responsible for the definition, development, maintenance and documentation of the client deployment process.
o Participate in the development of policies, standards, procedures and processes for the reliable and secure operation of the Windows client environment
o Participate in the development of technical standards related to the secure, reliable implementation of new technologies within the Windows client environment.
o Participate in the research of emerging Windows client based technologies and assess business value of implementation.
Required Skills and Experience
o Strong understanding of Group Policy and Active Directory services.
o 5
years experience as Windows Engineer with Client Architecture responsibilities
o Experience with Windows 7, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and SCCM OS Deployment (OSD).
o Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manger (SCCM)
o Microsoft Windows Desktop Certification for Vista or Windows 7 or equivalent work experience.
o In depth knowledge of Windows Client security configurations and best practices.
o Previous experience in designing, evaluating and implementing solutions for optimizing the client computing experience.
o Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role for the design and implementation of Windows based technologies.
Preferred Skills
o Software application packaging experience
o Experience migrating to Microsoft Windows 7
o Technical writing experience with understanding of the fundamentals of Standard Operating Procedures.
o Software packaging skills with Admin Studio 11.5Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
