Associate General Counsel
The candidate researches and submits legal opinions concerning health care operations including contracting, statutory application, government regulation, and other issues. Provides advice and counsel to company officers and executives in connection with facility operations, employment issues, and various transactional matters. Coordinates closely with senior executives, internal auditing, human resources and legal personnel relative to the application, interpretation and enforcement of the corporation?s policies and procedures. May retain, manage, and assist outside counsel for litigation, administrative and regulatory matters as needed. Drafts and/or reviews and guides settlement documents. Manages the cost of litigation by effectively limiting the use of outside counsel, recording time used and monitoring bills for accuracy. May participate in arbitration or mediation of claims. Participates in the development of and implements strategies for all activities relating to standards of conduct and ethical relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, employees, stakeholders and the communities in which company operates.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
