Position Overview: We are looking for an seasoned Commercial Construction Estimator who is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses a strong understanding of construction processes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our project development process by accurately estimating project costs, preparing comprehensive bids, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and material pricing to determine project expenses.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for the estimation process.
Prepare detailed bid proposals and pricing breakdowns for submission to clients.
Evaluate project risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize project costs.
Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to ensure competitiveness in bidding.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations as required.
Assist in value engineering initiatives to maximize project value while controlling costs.
Support project teams during the pre-construction phase by providing accurate and timely cost information.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator, with a minimum of 10 years in the construction industry.
Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff) and MS Office Suite.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse project teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
