Service Desk Specialist

The Service Desk Specialist will have a strong knowledge of personal computing, computer hardware and software and network administration.
This is a full-time position that will require 24/7 staff support and overtime as needed.
The Service Desk Specialist must be willing to work directly with end-users (internal customer service) in solving computer and technical problems.
Responsibilities:
First-hand knowledge of administering and supporting a Windows network, including working directly with end users' desktops/laptops on current Windows operating system platform.
Proficient in administering a variety of applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft 365, Adobe, VPN, MFA.
Experience with service desk tools and systems, such as ServiceNow incident and request handling Familiarity with mobile devices including Android and iPhone.
Familiarity of ITIL best practices to ensure efficient service delivery.
Update ticket information with research findings with as much detail as possible before escalating.
Effectively and professionally communicate with technical teams, company managers, and end users, both technically and non-technical.
Ensure privacy/confidentiality of customer data by following IT best practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area or equivalent work experience required.
At least one year of IT-related experience.
A+, Network+, MCP, or related certifications a plus.
Strong IT technical fundamentals focused on hardware, software and computer networking; including Microsoft networks, client and server platforms, Apple and Android products (OSX and iOS), familiarity with ServiceNow, MDM, Cisco products, network printers, and other technologies, as necessary.
Experience administering a variety of applications including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
Understanding of security and backup technologies and strategies.
Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, communication abilities (interpersonal and email communications), and be self-motivated.
Experience troubleshooting VPN connections and performing remote support.
Possible night and weekend work/on call.
Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high-speed internet access.
) Working Conditions:
Flexibility to work in an office and/or at-home, remote office environment.
Overtime and/or schedule flexibility are occasionally necessary in this position.
Individual may be required to attend key business/departmental meetings and/or perform certain business critical job functions outside of normal working hours.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to communicate internally and externally through receiving and responding to auditory and visual methods.
Internal Pay Grade:
6The starting pay for this role is $40,594 to $50,742 based on skill level and experience in a similar role.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
