*remote* IT Procurement Manager
Insight Global is seeking a Remote IT Procurement Manager, for a full-time role with an IT Services Provider in the King of Prussia, PA area.
This person should be comfortable commuting to the King of Prussia office 1-2 times per month.
In this role, you will be required to fulfill purchasing requirements for a variety of clients with various sizes and IT configurations (hardware and software for infrastructure, AV, networks, server, IT appliances and structured cabling management components, etc.
) The ideal candidate will also have the ability to identify and deliver purchasing process improvements to the organization.
This Manager will also handle all routing, quoting and procurement activities - including purchasing items for clients and internal use.
Additionally, they will directly procure and ship various IT hardware and software licensing as well as Audio Visual (AV) vendor products (Crestron, Cisco, Dell, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Microsoft and VMware) to various clients and teams for installation and deployment.
The Procurement manager must also develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize opportunities for promotions and discounts, and will look internally for ways to improve the procurement process.
- Prior experience working for an IT Services Provider or MSP - ConnectWise experience - Prior experience working for a VAR, systems integrator or product distributor (ie Avnet, Ingram Micro, or Tech Data) - Some knowledge of Cisco, Dell, HPE, Crestron, Zoom, Microsoft and VMware product purchasing and licensing - 4
years' IT Procurement experience - Strong product awareness and knowledge of end user technology, servers, networking equipment and licensing - Knowledge of VAR purchasing - Experience quoting/ procuring computer hardware, software and peripherals - Working knowledge of inventory management and shipping/receiving - Ability to build relationships with vendors and craft solutions to problems - Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT service Recommended Skills Business Relationship Management Cisco Computer Architectures Expediting It Service Management Infrastructure Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
