Ideally, we are seeking individuals whom possess Bachelor degrees from accredited colleges/universities in computer science, information systems, network engineering, or related discipline. The nature of the role involves designing and implementing network communications systems in addition to providing specifications and performing requirements decomposition for network architectures. In addition to this, you would also be responsible for recommending hardware and software implementation techniques and analysis tools to most efficiently meet program needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Additional responsibilities include conducting unit and end-to-end testing of network design/implementation. Maintain technical expertise in all areas of packet-switched network, computer hardware, and software interconnects/interfacing, such as perimeter and aggregate routers, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention appliances. Layer 2/3 LAN switches, gateways and other related technologies. Resources would also evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities. Qualifications:
- BS degree with 9 years of professional experience or MS degree with 7 years of professional experience - Extensive network design background - Ability to independently design networks schemas - Technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. - Ability to lead a team of engineers - Experience in a Linux environment - Effective oral and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies - Experience in a customer facing role - Candidates must have the ability to obtain a government security clearance (SECRET) Desired Skills:
- IAT Level II certifications - Network virtualization experience - Experience making customer presentations - Experience testing and analyzing end-to-end packet error and packet loss ratio - Experience with shell scripting - Cyber engineering skills - Experience with VMs and hypervisors - Experience leading an Agile team using SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban with an understanding of common Agile tools and methodologies - Current interim-SECRET or SECRET clearance
Salary Range:
$80K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network Administration, Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
