Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer at Radial in King Of Prussia, PA

The Senior System Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation and operation of mission critical systems that ensure the optimal performance and availability of all Radial systems and services. This individual will assist in the development and implementation of new technologies within the Radial environment, by advising on design concepts, implementation strategies and deployment timelines. These activities include the definition of requirements, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project lifecycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing, and implementing the solutions. Responsibilities:
Design, build, and support infrastructure technologies and services, following operational and security best practices. This encompasses Radial's on-premises and cloud infrastructures. Evaluate existing and emerging hardware and software technologies to determine capabilities and cost-benefits relationship, and develop ongoing systems solutions that meet performance and budgetary requirements Monitor performance of systems and infrastructure to ensure operations continue within acceptable parameters. Automating the additions, upgrades, and conversions of systems infrastructure, operating systems, as well as provisioning security patches. Interact with technical teams to provide optimized infrastructure solutions. At times, lead project teams with technical oversight, and working closely within a project-oriented methodology Research and develop innovative, and preferably, automated approaches for Systems Engineering/Administration tasks. Document, and maintain technical implementation processes for use within the RADIAL Infrastructure team. Mentor junior engineers in more advanced Systems Engineering concepts Provide escalated support to our internal engineers and operations staff, for client issues by troubleshooting and applying knowledge via the Radial ticketing system and email requests. Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of Linux Operating Systems internals and administration (RHEL/CentOS). Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems internals and administration. Strong hands-on working knowledge of VMWare and its various components. Strong hands-on working knowledge of Nutanix and its various components. Working knowledge of Hardware Platforms - HP/Dell/Cisco. Working knowledge of F5 Load Balancer systems and administration. Scripting and Automation experience, such as with Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, etc. Hands on experience with Core Services (DNS, AD, SCCM, Authentication, Linux patching). The ability to work independently as well as collaborate within the IT Technical teams. Effective oral and written communication skills needed for interactions with internal and external customers as needed. Work Related8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Role requires being part of an on-call support rotational schedule. Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with limited advanced notice. Some travel to local or remote Radial sites may be required at times to support projects.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
